The political vein of former Irosin town mayor Doc Eddie Dorotan aspiration for a comeback as town chief executive was given a shot in the arm when former Second District Board Member Arze Glipo withdraws her bid for the mayoralty race in Irosin by endorsing Dorotan’s candidacy for town mayor.
The suppose three corner fight where two opposition candidates will challenge the well oiled political machinery of Grace Hamor Yu a younger sister of Sorsogon Governor Edwin Hamor and her running mate end of termer Mayor Alfredo Cielo is a brick wall to crack is now a two corner fight between Hamor Yu and Dorotan.
Doc Eddie as he is popularly known is an agriculture and environmentalist championing people’s organization during his term as town mayor though the illegal logging issue during his term dent his reputation.
Grace Hamor Yu was not successful in her 2022 political run. She was trounced by incumbent mayor Alfredo Cielo now her running mate.
Observers in the town believes that the dim prospect of Doc Eddie because of his long absence in the town politics may now have a fighting chance against Grace Hamor Yu after the withdrawal of Arce Glipo hoping that what transpired in 2022 that the town rooted a true bloodied Irosanon to lead them again materialize.
