Four female teachers were reported molested by a hooded man with a gun in a public school of Barangay New Moriones, Ocampo, Camarines Sur.
But, a “news blackout” over the incident was allegedly imposed by the police.
The incident happened Tuesday noon, August 9, 2022, while the 4 teachers were eating lunch.
The hooded gunman was allegedly staging a robbery, but finding nothing, herded the teachers into a room and sexually molested them.
According to an unverified report, one teacher was raped.
Meanwhile, the local and Camarines Sur Provincial Police did not issue an official statement, saying the incident is under the Police women’s desk.
The police silence has been interpreted by locals as a “form of news blackout”.
The school is situated near a military camp, barely a 20-minute walk.
